ERASMUS+ Credits Mobility for Faculty and Staff - European Commission

This program is designed for employees to teach at a foreign partner university or receive training. Ualikhanov University collaborates with a number of European universities who are happy to exchange knowledge and share experience with outstanding employees. The International Development and Partnership Office announces a call from our partner university for opportunities to teach or train abroad for a week on a special topic during a special international week or a general visit. MASHAV Capacity Building Program - Israel Agency for International Development Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs

MASHAV's Capacity Building Program includes a wide range of one-month training programs in Israel for development, showcasing best practices and technologies. The scholarship covers tuition fee, accomodation, insurance, and flight. The extensive training program includes a uniquely wide range of subjects and languages including agriculture, medicine and public health, science and technology, management and entrepreneurship, education and economic, social, community and rural development. Over the years, over 280,000 professionals have participated in MASHAV courses. Many have later gone on to serve in key positions. John Smith Trust Fellowship Programme - United Kingdom

The John Smith Trust Fellowship Programme provides exceptional young leaders from Western Europe and Central Asia the opportunity to explore issues of governance, social justice and the rule of law through a month of workshops, discussions, debates, visits and meetings in the United Kingdom. The Bolashak Scholarship provides a global opportunity for university scholars to conduct research at top foreign universities for one year. Community Solutions Program (CSP) - U.S. Department of State

The Community Solutions Program (CSP), sponsored by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) and implemented by IREX, provides community leaders from around the world with an intensive, professional development exchange program in the United States from August to December. CSP fellows gain valuable experience in community work and strengthen their capacity for leadership and development in their home countries. Fulbright Program - U.S. Department of State

The J. William Fulbright program, established in 1946, was created to promote mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries of the world. Today, the Fulbright program is one of the most widely recognized and prestigious international exchange programs in the world. Hundreds of Fulbright alumni worldwide currently hold top positions in government, higher education, journalism, and the private sector. Fulbright grants are awarded through open and merit-based competition. This ensures the most qualified applicants are fairly chosen in a way that contributes to the main goal of the program, to promote mutual understanding and benefit through contributions to both host and home communities. Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Program

The Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Program (FLTA) helps U.S. universities strengthen Kazakh language instruction, while providing current or future teachers of English in Kazakhstan the opportunity to refine their skills, increase their English-language proficiency, and extend their knowledge of U.S. society and culture. The Fulbright FLTA program is a nine-month, non-degree program. FLTA participants will help strengthen Kazakh language instruction at a U.S. university or college and also interact with their host communities in conversation groups, extracurricular activities, and community outreach projects. The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program

The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program provides accomplished young and mid-career professionals with ten months of non-degree academic study, leadership development, and professional enrichment in the United States. Humphrey Fellows are selected based on their potential for leadership and commitment to public service either in the public or the private sector. 14 universities across the United States host Humphrey Fellows. In recent years, these universities have included: American University-Washington College of Law, Arizona State University, Boston University, Cornell University, Emory University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Michigan State University, Pennsylvania State University, Syracuse University, University of California – Davis, University of Maryland-College Park, University of Minnesota, Vanderbilt University, and Virginia Commonwealth University. Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program

The Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program provides grants to approximately 850 foreign scholars from over 100 countries to conduct post-doctoral research at U.S. institutions from an academic semester to a full academic year. International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) - U.S. Department of State

The International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) is the U.S. Department of State's premier professional exchange program. Through short-term (one-month) visits to the United States, current and emerging foreign leaders in a variety of fields experience this country firsthand and cultivate lasting relationships with their American counterparts. Professional meetings reflect the participants' professional interests and support the foreign policy goals of the United States. Each year nearly 5,000 International Visitors come to the U.S. on the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). More than 200,000 International Visitors have engaged with Americans through the IVLP, including more than 500 current or former Chiefs of State or Heads of Government. There is no application for IVLP. Participants are nominated and selected annually by the staff at U.S. Embassies around the world. Tech Women - U.S. Department of State

TechWomen brings emerging women leaders in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) from Africa, Central and South Asia, and the Middle East together with their professional counterparts in the United States for a five-week mentorship and exchange program. TechWomen provides participants access to networks, resources, and knowledge to empower them to reach their full potential. Sports Visitors - U.S. Department of State

Sports Visitors are young non-elite athletes and coaches chosen by U.S. missions overseas to visit the United States for a fast-paced two week exchange program. These sports-themed programs offer participants the opportunity to interact with Americans and experience American society, culture, and values firsthand. The activities include sessions on nutrition, strength and conditioning, gender equity in sport, Title IX, sport and disability, and team building. Professional Fellows Program - U.S. Department of State

The Professional Fellows Program (PFP) is a two-way, global exchange program designed to promote mutual understanding, enhance leadership and professional skills, as well as build lasting, sustainable partnerships between mid-level emerging leaders from foreign countries and the United States. PFP participants are placed in intensive 5-6 week fellowships in non-profit organizations, private sector businesses, and government offices across the United States for an individually tailored professional development experience. They build a broad network with American and other program participant colleagues as they develop a deeper understanding of U.S. society. The PFP is a two-way exchange, with American participants who have hosted foreign fellows traveling overseas for participant-driven reciprocal programs. Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSIS) for Scholars and Secondary Educators - U.S. Department of State

Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSIs) for Scholars and Secondary Educators are post-graduate level academic programs for mid-career foreign scholars, faculty, practitioners, and secondary educators whose purpose is to strengthen curricula and to improve the teaching about the United States in academic institutions abroad. SUSIs for Scholars are six-weeks long; these Institutes are comprised of a four to five-week academic residency and a one to two-week educational study tour to a different region of the United States. During the Institutes, scholars engage in rigorous academic coursework and panel discussions, interact and establish networks with American scholars, meet with experts in respective disciplines, visit civic institutions, and in some cases, participate in research symposia and conferences. Cohorts of 18 to 20 participants will take part in 7 scholar programs under the following disciplines: American Culture and Values, Education and Workforce Development, Journalism and Media, Religious Freedom and Pluralism in the United States, Secondary Education, U.S. Economics, Business, U.S. Foreign Policy. Global Women's Mentoring Partnership - Fortune & U.S. Department of State

The Fortune - U.S. Department of State Global Women's Mentoring Partnership connects talented, emerging women leaders from all over the world with members of Fortune's Most Powerful Women Leaders for a three-week-long program. The program begins with an orientation in Washington, D.C., where mentees meet with senior women leaders in government, business, academia, civil society and the media. Participants are then paired with one of Fortune's Most Powerful Women Leaders from companies like Goldman Sachs, Aetna and Johnson&Johnson in cities across the United States. At the end of the mentorship, emerging leaders reconvene in New York City to collectively reflect on their experience and discuss future leadership opportunities. IWF Leadership Foundation's Fellows Program - American Councils for International Education

The program accelerates the career of women with better results through leadership training at the global level and communication with the world's leading women leaders – members of the International Women's Forum (IWF). The approach is holistic and focused on the personal and professional development of the participant, career and trajectory. The program collects about 35 fellows from around the world for 20 days, consisting of three separate sessions. The program is implemented in partnership with Harvard Business School and INSEAD. The Fellowship Program offers creative, multidisciplinary training aimed at developing leadership and strategic management skills.
